International institutions such as the UN, NATO and the ICC can be important players before, during and after armed conflict. Yet, they have received comparatively little attention in contemporary ethics of war. This workshop discusses work in progress on the ethics of cooperation within military alliances and the freedom of states to cooperate or refuse to cooperate within international institutions, the ontological status of institutions and the question of multilateral authorization.

The workshop is pre-read. The papers will be shared upon registration.
